The Honourable Mohammad Khair Al ZaibaK

Syrian-born Arab Canadian entrepreneur and businessman. Appointed to the Senate of Canada in January 2024 to represent Ontario and re-appointed under the Canadian Senators Group. He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Known for championing Arab Canadian communities, by sponsoring Bill S-227, the Arab Heritage Month Act. He remains actively engaged on immigration policy, refugee issues, and international humanitarian matters.

Ziad Aboultaif

Lebanese-Canadian entrepreneur and community leader first elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2019, 2021, and 2025. Known for his work on economic development and small business issues, he currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development. In this Parliament, he is actively advancing Bill C-234, an act respecting the establishment and award of a Living Donor Recognition Medal.

The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab

MP (Liberal – Halifax West, NS) 

Lebanese-Canadia, lawyer, and former Nova Scotia MLA/Attorney General. First elected federally in 2021, re-elected in 2025. As Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, she leads national immigration policy, with a focus on sustainable, targeted systems supporting economic growth and Francophone communities. She is known for her strong advocacy on issues affecting newcomer communities and for promoting balanced, pragmatic approaches to immigration management.

Karim Bardeesy

Egyptian Arab descent who is a former journalist, policy advisor, and executive director of The Dais public policy think tank, with prior senior roles in the Ontario government including Deputy Principal Secretary to Premier Kathleen Wynne. Now serves as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, with a strong focus on innovation, technology, economic growth, and democratic renewal.

The Honourable Ahmed Hussen

Somali-Canadian lawyer and first Somali-Canadian MP. He currently serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, and Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, where he leads parliamentary oversight on Canada’s global engagement, international development, and foreign policy priorities.

Lebanese-origin MP first elected in 2015 and re-elected in subsequent elections, including 2025. His focus on human rights and international affairs is particularly evident through his ongoing leadership as Chair of the Subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development. He also serves as founder of the Canada-Lebanon Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Moroccan-Canadian academic and former Montreal city councillor (2017–2025) with experience in municipal governance, public policy, and community advocacy in Montreal. Currently serving as a member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) and a member of Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics.
