The 2023 “30 Under 30” is a recognition of young Arab-Canadians who are empowering and making a difference in their community.

Arab heritage month

We are celebrating and marking April as Arab Heritage Month! Arab Heritage Month gives over 1 million Arab Canadians the space to showcase their culture and talents. It also provides the general Canadian public with the opportunity to learn more about the nuanced and diverse experiences and struggles that Arabs from coast to coast face.

OPEN SCREENPLAY contest

This first-ever contest on Arab identity in Canada received responses from around the globe. There were a total of 1348 meaningful stories submitted that represented many diverse cities and backgrounds.

 

TEXT4AMAL

The Canadian Arab Institute (CAI) is proud to collaborate with the Mental Health Foundation, and the University of Alberta, with support from the RBC Foundation, to launch Text4Amal, a FREE supportive texting program for the Arab community in Canada.


#yallajab

#YallaJab is a public health resource campaign that aims to increase vaccination rates in Ontario's Arab communities by dispelling myths about vaccines and increasing access to information and facts about the COVID-19 vaccine. Our resource guide is available in English, Arabic & French.


PROJECT MUJTAMA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Project Mujtama Fellowship is a program for young and enthusiastic community organizers and researchers, looking to contribute to the CAI mission of articulating the perspective and potential of Canadian Arabs and advancing their contributions to society.

Yalla! Let’s Talk (ylt) CONFERENCE 2020

A place for inspiration and empowerment, the YLT Conference brings life-changing stories and thought-provoking insights from Arab-Canadian innovators and pioneers of change. Journalists, explorers, performers, entrepreneurs, and public figures shared their ideas to empower and inspire youth to take charge of their future and re-think tomorrow in areas of gender quality, civic engagement, community development, mental health and more.
